The Splendor of Your Glory
As the summer begins to wane and the air grows crisp and cool, Your glory becomes so evident in all the changing of the hues. The trees give in to nature and the display of Your creation is known to all, In the beautiful array of colors that let us know it is fall.
Seasons come and seasons go, each of them necessary for change; The leaves with all their brilliance knowing they will soon fade. We are like the leaves after they fall, dying to give way to the new Even though for a time, the visible changes may be few.
It is during this course of dying, that we begin to live But the life now comes from the roots and not the colors that we give. We can’t resist the changing of the colors as this too must come to pass Knowing that winter will come but it will not last.
During this time of transition, Father, we ask you for your grace We determine to walk in your path and continue to seek your face. The night will turn into a brand new morning And we will shine with the splendor of your glory.
